Alex Hill

Toronto, ON
Alex’s passion for people, and especially working with youth, really started at McGill University - studying health geography by day and counselling fellow students at every other hour. She found she was happiest while meeting new people, getting deep into community building, and constantly learning. She’s followed this curiosity around the world, and been privileged to be a part of many diverse communities, finding the best opportunities for learning and growth are waiting just outside her comfort zone. Above all, in both work and life, Alex is committed to social justice, to working for accessible health care of all kinds, and to having those hard but important conversations. She’s quite happy to be able to do quite a lot of this here at Jack.org!

Outside of the office, Alex loves learning new languages (four and counting!), spending time with family and friends, and remembering High Park exists and going there to get lost for awhile.

My mental health revolution means being free. Taking a deep breath and knowing everything will be OK, because mystery, stigma, and shame surrounding mental illness are gone,
