Staff Bryan Young Winnipeg, MB As Summit Coordinator, Bryan works closely with the Summit team to plan our annual National Jack Summit, and coordinates with local youth organizing teams to plan and execute six Regional Jack Summits across Canada. Bryan was born and raised in the frigid, but friendly Prairies, and has spent much of his life in Winnipeg (affectionately known as Winterpeg). He comes to the Jack.org staff team with a background in social activism and advocacy work, with a focus on mental health literacy education and 2SLGBTQ+ issues. Bryan also spent five years volunteering within Jack.org’s programs, including two terms as Network Representative for the Prairie provinces. Bryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and English literature from the University of Winnipeg, and brings his love of creativity, the arts, and performance to his work and throughout his day to day life. When not busy working with the incredible Jack.org team, you can often find him enjoying a nice cup of coffee, watching reruns of Will & Grace, or curled up with a good book. My mental health revolution looks like challenging the status quo, forging new paths, being okay with discomfort and ultimately creating a more fair, equitable and accessible world for all.
