Emma Cheng

Born in the small rural town of Lindsay, ON, Emma completed a Honours Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and neuroscience before finding her passion for working with youth and young adults. After working in a variety of roles at UofT in admissions, alumni engagement, and IT, she made her way to Jack.org. She is now in the process of completing her Masters in Higher Education with a specialization in Student Development and Student Services to learn more about the ins and outs of universities and colleges, and how to become the best youth leader she can be.

Emma works alongside the Summit team and with the help of the incredible youth affiliated with Jack.org to plan annual National Jack Summits and Regional Summits.  In her spare time, Emma loves to go for long runs, cross stitch, look after her plants, and search for the next new recipe!

My mental health revolution is to work towards an environment where students are not afraid to speak up when they are struggling or in need of help. As a recent undergraduate student, I understand how challenging it can be to go to someone when you are feeling stressed, and I envision a world where every student can feel safe and well supported.
