Staff Jessie Brar Toronto, ON Jessie graduated from Queen's University in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Psychology. She is an active public speaker and mental health advocate. Through her own lived experience, she learned the importance of having mental health conversations and found her passion working in this space. Prior to Jack.org, Jessie worked as a writer for mental health columns at The Tempest, Brown Girl Magazine, The Collaborative for South Asian Mental Health at CAMH, and many more. She is also very passionate about youth leadership. Jessie is consistently working with many organizations such as the Central Ontario Leadership Seminar, The Mental Health Spotlight, and of course, Jack.org, to help youth develop their voice. Jessie was a Jack Talks speaker for the 2016-2017 year, before joining the head office team as a Talks Coordinator in October 2017. Jessie now works as the Sponsorship Coordinator helping support the financial growth of the organization to ensure our programs are able to reach young advocates across Canada. My mental health revolution looks like a world where mental health conversations are a part of everyday life and everyone is able to get the help they need without fear of judgement.
