Staff Mohammad Hussain Toronto, ON Having graduated from Western University, Mohammad saw first hand the importance of raising mental health awareness for the well being of students. After graduating with a B.A. in French Studies he spent a year teaching in France, working in at-risk immigrant communities. After coming back to Canada, he started volunteering with a local francophone organization that tries to foster a community. Working at Jack.org, Mohammad wants to foster a similar community, but one where the focus is the importance of mental health and what we can do to raise awareness. My mental health revolution is the conversation of mental health working its way into our everyday conversations. The feeling of knowing when you’re catching up with your friends, a question about each other’s mental health would be just as common as asking about your job or your family.
