Safa is an experienced youth program coordinator, sports inclusion researcher, and coach. She has worked with Rugby Ontario and Toronto Inner-city Rugby Foundation (TIRF) to coordinate large-scale, inclusive youth sports programs across Ontario and conduct research on developing inclusive sports programming. Safa has been involved in developing sports programs that not only promote physical health but also promote mental health and leadership skill development.

Safa’s lived experiences with mental health challenges have allowed her to mentor youth exploring their identities and promote open conversations about mental health in non-traditional environments. Safa is passionate about developing a world where mental health is valued as much as physical health and she is excited to be working with Jack.org to promote this initiative.

My mental health revolution looks like a world where mental health is a conversation that all young people, especially those in underserved communities, can access with their families and support networks in personal and professional environments.
