Sarah Mughal

Toronto, ON

As Director of Programs & Evaluation, Sarah oversees the design, delivery, and evaluation of Jack.org's programs to build youth capacity for community-centred mental health advocacy across Canada. She is also responsible for the ongoing formative research and for ensuring that Jack.org is consistently aligned with evidence based practices. Sarah holds a BA in Health Studies from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Public Health focusing on Social Inequities from Simon Fraser University. Before Jack.org, Sarah worked in Vancouver and New Orleans in child mental health policy research, youth sexual health programming, and high school suicide prevention -- so she’s been encouraging tough conversations with students for a really long time.

Since the summer of 2014, Sarah has been lucky enough to have a front row seat to Jack.org’s incredible growth and programmatic developments. She is so excited to see where the future will take us and to continue to be a part of such a wonderful team.

My mental health revolution means securing the rights and inclusion of our nation's most vulnerable. It's a revolution that tirelessly seeks to elevate the voices of those who've been continually silenced, and doesn't rest until all of Canada's young people feel heard, represented, supported, and valuable as leaders in this work.
