Julia Caddy

Montreal, QC
Julia grew up in Calgary, Alberta, but today she can be found in Montreal studying Psychology and Communications at McGill University. As someone who has personally struggled with mental illness, she now dedicates herself to mental health advocacy by educating others, building supportive communities, and challenging the status quo. Julia is a leader in the mental health movement through her work with Jack.org, Students in Mind, the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Kids Help Phone. Determined to turn her struggle into her strength, she is unafraid to unleash her voice–whether at events, to the media, online, or in everyday conversations. She is passionate about climbing mountains, eating chocolate, singing along to Disney musicals, and pursuing the universal implementation of mental health literacy into child & adolescent education. She knows firsthand what the effects of insufficient awareness, education, and treatment feels like–and she will not stop until there is change.
