How This Initiative Works:

We've made some snazzy Instagram Story templates that you can screencap and fill on your Stories with mental health resource information you think your community should know about!

What Happens When I Sign Up:

Once you sign up for this initiative, we’ll send you an email with all the digital tools you need to complete it. The email should appear within 5 minutes. If it doesn’t, check your trash or email dosomething@jack.org.

We’ll also send you your Do Something initiative card to post on social media, and a playing card to post to challenge a friend to Do Something.

The Story Behind This Initiative:

Aside from being a great way to stay in the loop, social media is a powerful tool for sharing resources. We wanted to utilize this easily accessible method of sharing information and turn it into an impactful tool that can be used to connect people with resources in their local area. Often times people feel left in the dark, unaware of how to reach out and seek the help that they need, but by spending a few minutes crafting a post, you can shine some light on a resource and increase awareness of how to seek help when you need it. Thank you for choosing to Do Something to better the mental health of your community.
Clayton Murphy designed this initiative and is the Halifax Network Representative at Jack.org.
