FAQs

Content Submissions

  • What is Jack.org?
Jack.org is Canada's only charity training and empowering young leaders to revolutionize mental health in every province and territory. Through Do Something, Jack Talks, Jack Chapters, and Jack Summits, young leaders identify and dismantle barriers to positive mental health in their communities. And through ambitious innovations in youth mental health like Be There, we give people the mental health resources they need to educate themselves.
  • What does a good submission look like?
It looks like anything that can help push youth mental health forward.

It looks like advocacy, education, storytelling, and inspiration.

You know on cooking shows when they say "put yourself on a plate"? It looks like that. Put yourself in your submission.

We’re medium agnostic, so you can send us content ideas for social media posts, videos, audios, photo-series, blogs, website updates, press and media releases, online community building, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and everything in between.
  • What stage should my submission be at?
We’d love to get involved early enough to help shape the creative vision for the project. But we do encourage you to find time to think through a very basic plan for your idea before submitting to us. That way we can really hit the ground running together.

  • When should I submit?
Any time! All the time! We accept submissions on a year-round, rolling basis.

Occasionally we'll issue specific open calls around specific campaigns and calendar invites. Follow us at @jackdotorg to find out more.

  • What kind of support do you offer?
    All kinds.

If you’d like your role to be limited to a consultant (or would just like to trust us with an idea you think is worth sharing), we’re happy to take the lead and help bring the idea to life.

If you’d like to co-lead the project with us, we’re happy to collaborate more actively.

Each process looks a little different depending on the nature of the project, but we'll work with you to figure out the best path.

Our team will also help ensure the project, once published, reaches the right people and in the best way possible.

  • How long does it take for you to review a submission?
Due to the volume of submissions, we won't be able to respond to everyone.

If we are able to respond, we'll try to get back to you within 5-10 business days. And then the fun begins. :)
