Staff Catelyn Brett Toronto, ON As Community Fundraising Lead, Catelyn works to ensure Jack.org receives the funds necessary to support its programs and network of student leaders who are making positive and sustainable change to youth mental health in Canada. Catelyn’s goal is to help our generous Jack.org supporters make an impact in an engaging and meaningful way. After finishing her Bachelors of Fine Arts, Specialized Honours degree from York University, and the Fundraising Management program at Ryerson University, Catelyn started working in nonprofit organizations right away. Catelyn has spent the majority of her fundraising career working to fund mental health care, research, and awareness. She is beyond thrilled to be working with the spectacular team at Jack.org. In her free time, you can usually find Catelyn snuggling her cats Alfie and Fynn, doing something active, or most likely eating. Catelyn loves to cook, bake, and find new restaurants in the city that she loves and has always called home! My mental health revolution sounds like people talking. As the Jack.org network grows, I envision mental health movements in every school community. I see conversations taking place at home with families, within friendship circles and in the workplace. Mental illness affects more Canadians than cancer and infectious disease combined - and we all have mental health. Now is the time for everyone to band together and support a movement that affects us all.
