Staff Emma Middlestadt Toronto, ON As Social Media Coordinator, it’s Emma’s job to unify and amplify the voice and accomplishments of our amazing youth network. From Instagram to LinkedIn, she excitedly shares the revolutionary initiatives that our leaders are tackling all across Canada. Emma has a Bachelor of Arts in Media from Ryerson University where she first explored her passion for mental health by creating a documentary about the connection between art and mental illness. She proudly licensed it to CBC in 2019, where The Art of Chaos was eventually broadcast. When she’s not at work or on social media, you can find her listening to true crime podcasts, binging the latest thing on Netflix, Prime, or Crave (she has a problem), or cuddling with her dog, Piper (who is too misbehaved to be one of the office pets). My mental health revolution is not being defined by your mental illness, but also not feeling shame about the part it plays in your story. I want to live in a world where no one feels the need to edit their experiences to please others. A world where beauty can be found in struggle.
