Geneviève Roots

Toronto, ON

Geneviève absolutely loves working with others to help them overcome obstacles, discover new strengths and interests, and create change in the world. Working with young children and youth sparked an interest and a desire to find creative ways to challenge the silence that can often surround mental health. Needless to say, Geneviève is thrilled to be in her role as a Program Coordinator working with such incredible young leaders across the country!

Geneviève has completed both her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Social Work. She has worked in community development in a number of roles, focusing on children, youth, and families within education, employment, health, and recreational programming, among others.

Geneviève is passionate about disability and accessibility, languages, and is a lifelong dancer and fitness enthusiast. Ever optimistic, Geneviève can be found dancing around the halls, laughing loudly, or with her nose in a good book.

My mental health revolution is loud! Where everyone feels supported and is educated on how to be there for themselves and for those around them. I want conversations about mental health to be for everyone and be an everyday thing.
