Staff Jerrica Little She/her English What brought Jerrica to Jack.org is that too often, youth voices are left out of important conversations on how to improve our mental health systems. Jack.org provides a platform for youth to be heard, and she wants to help turn up the volume! Jerrica loves solving mysteries and so the role of researcher (as a Postdoctoral Fellow) is a natural fit for her. She makes observations about mental health systems, gathers evidence (including youth perspectives), and identifies possible solutions based on the data she has. What inspires her about our organization is the young people who work with Jack.org are clued into the problems that younger generations are facing and are determined to see things change. It is gratifying to witness the next cohort of mental health advocates already marking their paths forward. If Jerrica was an iconic TV or movie moment, she would be Giles from 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' when he rejects the old council in favour of supporting a group of revolutionary teenagers. Pretty fitting, right?
