Marie Barré

As Francophone Program Coordinator, Marie ensures that all Francophones in Canada can benefit from our fantastic programs in their language.

Marie has a Bachelor's degree in French Studies from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She also has a degree in Language Sciences from the Université Paul-Valéry in Montpellier (France). Basically, all things linguistics, francophone society and culture, that's her wheelhouse! After her studies, Marie moved to London (England) where she taught French at the college level. Her experience with young people is what brought her to Jack.org.

Outside of work, Marie enjoys traveling, gigs in really old churches, film photography, biking, colour names at the paint store, really good pop or really sad music (as the true Gemini that she is), petting old dogs and cooking.

My mental health revolution looks like: better education so that everyone is better equipped to understand and empathize with both themselves and others.
