As Be There Coordinator, Shayan supports an engaging web-based resource that illuminates how we can be there for our loved ones when they struggle with their mental health.

Shayan studied Aerospace Engineering during his undergraduate program at Ryerson University. Although engineering isn’t inherently linked to mental health advocacy, Shayan finds there are many design-thinking opportunities when supporting young people in such revolutionary work. Shayan has also been a Jack Talks Speaker, and was part of the first and second cohorts of Network Representatives with Jack.org.

Outside of work, you are most likely to find Shayan going to all kinds of musical concerts, playing with his two dogs, Fin & Tuna, or watching GIFs of food recipes he will never make.

My mental health revolution is one where young people are just as comfortable asking for help with their mental health as they are asking for extra help on a math problem.
