Shelby Clarke

Yellowknife, NT

Shelby Clarke was born in raised in southern Alberta, but moved up to the lovely North West Territories. When moved to Yellowknife, she found out i was pregnant and at 21 years old brought a beautiful girl into this world. At this time she also decided to pursue her dream into becoming a social worker. This is where Shelby saw her mental health deteriorate. She soon found out about Jack.Org and learned so much about how important it is to take care of yourself and to fight against the stigma of mental health. Going to her first national summit in 2016 changed her life. Shelby understood more about herself, how important it is to care for yourself and bring this back to the community. Jack.Org has opened up many opportunities for her and has empowered her to not only take action for her own mental health, but to open up and share her stories to help other's know, that it is okay to not be okay.
