Network Reps Abeer Ansari She/her Urdu and English Abeer wanted to give meaning and purpose to the struggles and challenges she faced. She knew Jack.org would provide her with a platform and space where she can use her experiences to create a positive change. As the Network Representative for Ontario, Abeer acts like a bridge between her community and the people who are responsible for listening to the youth and implementing change. It is an opportunity to amplify the voices of those who have gone through common/shared mental health experiences. Jack.org puts youth at the centre of the conversation, allowing youth with lived experiences to pave the way forward. The motto that Abeer stands by is “Just because we carry it well, does not mean it isn’t heavy.” Abeer believes it is important to acknowledge how far we have come in our journey of resilience and that it is okay to take a pause when things get tough.
