Jenny is proud to be a member of Jack.org because they genuinely respect the ways we undertake advocacy. As the Network Representative for Nova Scotia, Jenny is a young person who has a solid understanding of their region’s mental health landscape and a strong connection to the communities in their region. NRs facilitate communication across social groups and amplify the ideas that diverse youth bring to the table.
Jenny’s mental health motto is to “turn pain into power.” Jenny’s mental health journey started in kindergarten, after their family immigrated to Canada from their birthplace of China. Jenny recognizes that there are other youth who struggle the way they once did, and they harness their own story to humanize emotional wellness and start important conversations.

Jenny never gets tired of reliving their best moments with their friends, either through conversation or through storytelling. Jenny is even chattier when there is a dog involved!
