Sadia Fazelyar

Vaughan, ON
Sadia resides in Vaughan, Ontario and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production at Ryerson University. She has a passion for film, videography and directing. Growing up, mental health was never spoken about in her home or school. So, when she began to struggle with her mental health she noticed the lack of mental health education available for youth. That is when she began to advocate for improved mental health literacy across Canada for families and schools. She strives to normalize conversations about mental health to ensure that mental health is talked about safely and openly amongst everyone. The mental health landscape in Canada includes everyone, so we must work collectively towards keeping it an inclusive matter. For three years Sadia has been working with jack.org to continue to advocate as a Jack Talks speaker and Jack.org Woodbridge chapter lead. She is super excited to take on the role as a Network Representative for Ontario again and continue to connect with youth across Canada.
