Jessica Searcy (she/her)


Jessica Searcy (she/her) is a passionate educator. Jessica graduated the Bachelor of Education program at University of Regina with a major in English and minor in drama and has been teaching since! Currently, Jessica has decided to continue her education by enrolling in the Master of Educational Psychology program. In her spare time, Jessica can be found playing hobby board games, hosting trivia, or snuggling with her furry and scaly friends. She also enjoys belting out musical hits in the car and singing Shania Twain at karaoke.

Interest and Motivation to Become a Senior Speaker
There are so many aspects of the Senior Speaker model that excite Jessica. First and foremost, she is excited about being able to deliver high-profile Talks. Jessica feels that after four years of experience, she has really honed her skills of being a speaker and would excel in a high-stakes environment. Furthermore, Jessica would love to be a voice at the table in the development process and share her knowledge and experience.

Training and Professional Development Interests
Jessica would be most interested in receiving further professional development on Indigenous ways of knowing and how it applies to the field of mental health.
