Our primary goal is to remove the stigma around mental health so that a conversation between students can begin. We believe that there is not enough being done to initiate action and advocacy within the student body. As a chapter, we hope to run events and initiatives that dismantle this stigma and promote the values that jack.org holds. How do you work to dismantle them? As a chapter, we hold events that promote mental health awareness and educate students. By doing this, students are being actively engaged and as a result, the stigma is being broken down. Our events, such as the Wellness Room, created a positive space for students where they grew more aware of all things related to mental health. What impact have you had at your school? At our school, we strive to make an impact with every event that we hold. We hope to accomplish our goals and leave students in a position where they are more informed and engaged with the topic of mental health. Our efforts have created a positive space and given students the education they need to maintain strong mental health.
