Alisha Haseeb - Hamilton, ON
Alisha is currently a second year undergraduate student attending McMaster University in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program. As a Pakistani immigrant, Alisha has experienced firsthand the impact of cultural attitudes on the well-being of minority communities. She created a safe space for exploration and education on this issue as the student lead of her high school Jack.org Chapter, intern at the Mood Disorders Society of Canada, and founder of the first Youth Summit for Mental Health in her hometown of Belleville, Ontario. Alisha hopes to continue her involvement in advocacy and promote mental health literacy and awareness as a Jack Talks Speaker.
