Sandra Hanington

Sandra Hanington is Jack’s mother, and co-founder of Jack.org.

Sandra is the former President and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint, and has experience on both corporate and non-profit boards including Kids Help Phone. She is former chair of Jack.org and past member of the board of the Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation. Sandra sits on the boards of directors of Extendicare Inc. and Descartes Systems Group, as well as on the board of directors of the University of Toronto.

Sandra is the recipient of the Meritorious Service Cross (Civil Division) from the office of the Governor General for her work with Jack.org.

Sandra’s education includes an engineering degree (Waterloo) and an MBA (Rotman). She is a certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, having obtained her ICD.D designation at the Rotman School of Management in Toronto.
