Northern Jack Summit

When we say coast-to-coast-to-coast, we mean it.

October 19-20 2018, Jack.org will be hosting our first ever Northern Jack Summit! We'll be flying young leaders from all over the territories to Yellowknife. For two days these advocates will be training, brainstorming, and designing initiatives to revolutionize mental health in their communities. They'll leave with skills, knowledge, action plans, renewed energy, and powerful connections.

Jack.org is committed to making this event accessible for all. To that end, Northern Jack Summit is free for all participants including transportation, accommodation, and food.

Apply now (form below) and join us this October for our first ever Northern Jack Summit!

Mental health in the North
There is a lack of mental health services readily available in the North, and what services are available are predominantly in the capital cities. Suicide among First Nations youth is 5 to 6 times higher than non-aboriginal youth. The average wait time for services covered by healthcare is 5 to 6 months, and often what is offered lacks cultural sensitivity and competence. Things need to change. And we'll lead it. Join the movement.
